September 8 Announcements

 NHS has a meeting today at lunch in room 4. All meetings are mandatory. If you cannot make it, please speak to Mrs. Logan or Ms. Smith.

 Student Body will be selling Homecoming Tickets during lunch today. They will be located at the top of the ramp. Tickets will be on sale at $10 each for early birds. Get your tickets now, as they will increase to $15 at the door on dance night.

 Guest passes for Homecoming Dance need to be turned into Mr. Helvey by Wednesday, September 13.

 Becca’s Closet/Professional Closet are open in the Library Meeting Room just to the right from the entrance. There are some nice homecoming style dresses and nice men’s dress pants.

 Students and staff, Chugiak’s Gay Straight Alliance will be meeting on Wednesdays, at lunch. We are trying something new this year, in order to accommodate more students’ interest in attending our club. Please join us in room 194 on Wednesdays. Bring your lunch. We will also have some snacks.

 Yesterday Warning Slips were placed on Student Vehicles that were illegally parked or those vehicles that did not have a Parking Sticker. These were just WARNINGS. Beginning next week students will be fined for any parking violations. Please take the time to go see the Financial Clerk and purchase your Parking Sticker

 Next week is Homecoming Week! Student Government has been working very hard to bring the spirit of the Seasons to the Chugiak High School. I hope that you will be able

to join in the fun and festivities of Homecoming Week.

Spirit Days are a chance for students and staff to dress up in support of Homecoming

Week. This year, our Sprit Days are as follows:

 Monday: Blackout vs Whiteout-Freshman and Sophomores should wear as much white as possible and Juniors and Seniors should wear as much black as possible.

 Tuesday: Swinter-Dress in a combination of Summer and Winter attire. (students must still keep their clothing choices school appropriate)

 Wednesday: Stoplight Day-The color you wear represents your relationship status. Red signifies you are taken, Green states that you are single, and Yellow says “it’s complicated”.

 Thursday: College Brethren Day- students will dress as college students including visors, khaki shorts, etc. (clothing and accessories must be school appropriate)

 Friday: Class Color Day: Students show their class pride by wearing their class color!!

 Freshman: Red

 Sophomores: Yellow

 Juniors: Green

 Seniors: Blue

During Homecoming week students (and staff) will be allowed to wear hats.
