November 6 Announcements

 Chugiak is hosting the 4th annual Chugiak Invitational Mathematics Competition on Thursday, NOV 9. Registration begins at 2:15. The competition ends at 3:00. See your math teacher to sign up and for more information. The more students we have compete, the greater our chance of winning over the other high schools. Come on super mathletes! It’s time to put your skills to work!!

 See an update on Mr. Dagley in the Library. Come by at lunch and make a card for Mr. Dagley. Cards will be mailed on Friday.

 Seniors wanting to attend UAA Early Application Day at CHS on November 9th: Please sign up for a pass with Ms Volden in House 3.

 Key Club is holding a Christmas Stocking decorating party after school on Wednesday in the Library 2:15-4:00 p.m. All are invited to help us. Stockings are donated to the Salvation Army for needy children. Cookies and cocoa will be served.

 Chugiak Students for Life will have it’s first meeting today at lunch in Room 203. All are welcome.

 10th, 11th & 12th Graders: Sign up for a free practice SAT & ACT, brought to you by the Chugiak High School counseling team. After taking a full-length practice SAT/ACT released by the test maker, you will get a detailed score report with a roadmap to score improvement, plus guidance on whether to focus on the SAT or ACT. This semester, Chugiak High School is hosting the following events:

 Practice ACT on Friday, November 10. Check-in will begin at 8:30 AM, with testing running 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM in the Chugiak Library.

 Practice SAT on Saturday, November 11. Check-in will begin at 8:30 AM, with testing running 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM in the Chugiak Library. Space is limited. View all practice SAT/ACT dates and reserve your seat for free at

 Students and Staff: Mustang Activity Council is sponsoring a 3 on 3 Basketball tournament next week during lunch in the gym. It’s free and there are prizes for the winners of the tournament. Sign up a coed team in Frau Senden’s room or in the main gym and 8 minute games will start on Tuesday, November 14. Can you beat the faculty team?
