November 29 Announcements

 All boys and girls interested in trying out for basketball must have their forms turned into Mrs. Huffer by 2pm today. NO EXCEPTIONS!

 Do you have school spirit? Put that spirit into action and join Basketball Cheer! Girls and Boys Basketball cheer practice starts today. If you are interested please get your paperwork from Ms. Huffer. Deadline for paperwork is Monday, December 4th.

 Come support diabetes awareness and prevention in the newly remodeled Student Union, formerly the Little Theater, this Friday! Improv is putting on a charity show for just $5 per person, the hilarity starts at 7pm and all proceeds go to Southcentral Foundation.

 TEA Club’s holiday tea party is tomorrow during lunch. There will be delicious warm drinks, sweet treats, and a showing of “The Lorax.” If you bring your own mug, you’ll get an extra treat! Tickets on sale today at the top of the ramp for $3 and tomorrow at room 207/208 for $5. TEA for Trees!

 Please join Key Club for a SECOND Stocking Decorating Party, Friday, Library, 2:00 p.m-4:00. Cookies and Hot cocoa will be served.

 Bookmark design contest! Artists, come to the Library for details on topic and rules for the Annual Bookmark Design Contest. Four winners will be published by the school district! Entries due December 8.

 Attention Seniors. Josten’s will be here on December 5th from 9:00am till11:00am to pick up senior order forms! Don’t forget.

 Senior Portraits and Quotes for the Yearbook are due FRIDAY by the end of the school day. Late portraits and quotes will NOT be accepted. Please email both portraits and quotes to chsyearbookseniors2018@gmail.com. Questions? Visit the school website or talk to Mrs. Gilbert in room 184.

 The deadline for the Yearbook Endsheet Art Contest is FRIDAY. Submissions must be submitted in person to Mrs. Gilbert in room 184 by the end of the school day Friday via flashdrive or hard copy.  NHS has a meeting on Friday during lunch. All meetings are mandatory. If you are not able to attend, please see an officer or Ms. Smith or Mrs. Logan. This is our last meeting before our big fundraiser for this semester so please make sure to be there!

 The Band Concert is Tuesday December 5th at 7 PM in the Auditorium and the Orchestra Concert is Thursday December 7th.

 Attention all juniors and seniors: Are you currently a junior or senior in high school with a good attendance record? Would you like to speak about Alaska to visitors from throughout the U.S. and from around the world? If you answered “yes” to these questions, the Alaska Railroad Tour Guide Training Program wants to learn more about you! Attend the open house at the Alaska Railroad Depot tomorrow at 7 p.m. at The Alaska Railroad Depot, 411 West 1st Avenue. Pick up an application there, or stop by King Career Center, or email woods_mike@asdk12.org to have one emailed to you. Applications are due by 4 p.m. January 12, 2018.
