December 18 Announcements

 Congratulations to Savannah Young on being selected as the CHS representative to attend the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Conference in late April.

 If you need after school proctoring for iSchool exams, there are only a few days left to have exams proctored in the Library:  Today, Tuesday, and Wednesday is the final day of proctoring at Chugiak High.

 Do you want to be a rock star? Now’s your chance! Battle of the Bands is coming in February. Get a group together to perform your favorite music in this fun competition! See Mrs. LaRue in the Library to sign up. All genre’s welcome.

 Girls basketball is selling Holiday grams today at lunch and after school at the top of the ramp! Come buy a candy cane for only $1 and have a note delivered to someone starting today.

 PSAT scores are in. Please see your counselor for your report and test booklet. ASAP!

 We know you are busy thinking about finals, but January is right around the corner! 10th, 11th & 12th Graders: Sign up for a free practice SAT & ACT, brought to you by the Chugiak High School counseling team. In January, Chugiak High School is hosting the following events:

  • Practice ACT on Saturday, January 20th. Check-in will begin at 8:30 AM, with testing running 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM in the Chugiak Library
  • Practice SAT on Saturday, January 27th. Check-in will begin at 8:30 AM, with testing running 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM in the Chugiak Library.
  • After taking a full-length practice SAT/ACT released by the test maker, you will get a detailed score report with a roadmap to score improvement, plus guidance on whether to focus on the SAT or ACT.  People Mover for Free: All middle and high school students are allowed to ride the People Mover city buses for FREE. All students have to do is simply show their CURRENT student ID. This program will be running now through the end of May.
