February 26 Announcements

It’s WACKO spirit week:

  •  Tomorrow: What In Tarnation Tuesday. Dress like a cowboy from the wild west.
  •  Wednesday: Wall Street Wednesday
  •  Thursday: Tacky Tourist Day
  •  Friday: Class Color Day

 Congratulations to all students studying Russian independently at lunch! This group participated in the national 2017 Written Olympiada of Russian known as the National Russian Essay Competition in the fall and received the following results:

  •  Jaed Hansen – Silver 2nd place medal
  •  Otis Eads – Bronze 3rd place medal
  •  Tristan Stanton – Honorable Mention

Good luck In the Spoken Olympiada this week on Wed. after school and you are invited to join us in 207/208 for Russian art activities, cartoons, and cuisine from 2-4p.m. on Wed. 2/28.

 Are you excited for WACKO? How about the WACKO Dance? Tickets for the dance are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. The Attire is semi-formal and you don’t need to wear your class colors. Have a friend you want to bring? Make sure you pick up a guess pass and turn it in to Mr. Helvey by Wednesday the 28th. Tickets are being sold at Buckstop and the top of the ramp. The DJ is DJ George. See you there.

 Looking for a night out? Friends, family, or both? Reserve March 8th from 4-10pm at Texas Roadhouse. Part of the proceeds from your bill will go towards the Student Government Class of 2020. You must present a flyer to your waiter for Student Government to get credit. Flyers are available from Buckstop or any Sophomore Student Government representative.
