April 3 Announcements

 There’s still time to sign up to go to the Job Fair on April 4th. Go see Mrs. Fullmer by 2:10 today to sign up.

 If you have ever wanted to try making Pysanky, the Ukrainian egg paintings with dyes and wax, then please come to the art room on April 5th and 6th and join the Russian Club as we create Pysanky with two hand -blown eggs each that you will need to bring in and the rest of the supplies will be provided. We have invited the visiting German exchange students and their hosts as well, so please feel free to come and join us for Pysanky and karavai, the Russian sweet cake for welcoming new friends and family.

 The Talent Show is this Friday at 7 pm in the auditorium. It’s $5 for admission. Come support your friends.

 NHS has a meeting on Friday at lunch in room 4. All meetings are mandatory. Please see an advisor or officer if you cannot be there.

 PROM – If you owe a fee or fine, you will not be able to buy a prom ticket until you have paid it off. Please see Ms. Prince to pay your fine or fee. Guest passes are due no later than April 9. Freshman and Sophomores from Chugiak, AND students not from Chugiak will all need a guest pass.

 Attention Seniors. Senior Fun Day tickets will be on sell starting today at lunch. Tickets are $15 and sold at the top of the ramp on Tuesdays and Thursdays through the 19th and on Monday the 23rd. Permission slips will be provided.

 Come get your free prom wear in the Library Meeting Room.

 Please turn in Intent to Participate for the Art Show to Mrs. LaRue in the Library as soon as possible.

 Applications to join next year’s yearbook staff are now available from your counselor. The yearbook staff is looking for new additions who thrive in an independent and deadline-based work environment and are looking for an opportunity to use their creativity to design, write, and photograph a year in the school’s history! Questions about whether you would be a good fit for this job? Talk to Mrs. Gilbert in room 184.

 Mustangs! The Food Drive Competition is off to a great start with Ms. Reed’s class currently in first place, Ms. Thornton’s class is one point behind, with Ms. Ekberg-Brown’s class just one little point behind Ms. Thornton’s group! Remember, it’s not over until Friday so bring in your donations of non-perishable items to your 3rd hour class!

 Hey Chugiak High. The long awaited opening of the “Spack Shack” is happening today. We are open on Tuesday and Thursday at lunch, in the concessions area next to the gym. Come and get your pretzels, nachos, muffins, and a whole bunch of other goodies.
