Normal Bell Schedule

  • Congratulations Rodney Crum who has advanced to finalist standing ibn the National Merit Scholarship Program. He has demonstrated through distinguished performance high potential for future academic accomplishments. Chugiak is proud of you!
  • Please join us for GSA’s bake sale during lunch-at the top of the ramp. Happy Pre- Valentine’s Day.
  • All football players. There will be a meeting in the Aux Gym today at 10:45.  Please be there for some important information about fundraising and off season workouts.  If you can’t make it please tell Coach Landers.
  • TEA for Seas has been rescheduled! The new date for our TEA for Seas Tea Party is Friday, February 15th, during lunch; the new location for the Tea Party is Mrs. Ditzler’s room, 101. We will be selling tickets this week at the top of the ramp. Tickets are $3 Monday through Thursday and $5 at the door, with all proceeds benefitting 4ocean, an organization dedicated to cleaning our oceans. If you already purchased a ticket in November, you do not need to purchase another. Come join us!
  • Softball Tryouts are February 27th, March 1st and March 2nd. Please see the flyer here for full details.
  • If you are going to be joining track/field/softball/baseball or soccer you must get your forms completed online and payments made. Then see Mrs. Huffer for your golden ticket before February 27th. See Mrs. Huffer if you have any questions.
  • Seniors! With graduation 3 ½ months away, Miss. Sully is looking for any seniors interested in designing this year’s graduation program cover. Any senior can apply and the design doesn’t have to be hand drawn. Submissions need to be turned in by March 5th so seniors can vote. If you have any questions please see Sully downstairs in room 11.
  • The CHS Testing Center is open!! The Testing Center allows you a consistent time and dependable location to make-up quizzes and tests you have missed due to absences.  Whether you need only 20 minutes to make up a short quiz, or you want to knock-out multiple tests from different teachers at the same time – the Testing Center is the route for you!  Every Tuesday and Thursday, from 6:30 – 7:30 AM, in Mrs. Portie’s Room 178, in House 3. Students, please be sure to bring a photo ID with you to the Testing Center to verify identification.
  • If you are going out for a sport/activity you MUST get a “gold” ticket from Mrs. Huffer for each sport/activity. If you have any questions please go see Mrs. Huffer.
  • Buckstop is open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays during lunch!

Gruening Students

Normal Bell Schedule

  • Student Government is having an optional meeting after school tomorrow. We are finishing Dance prep. Please attend if you can. We will meet in Mrs. Barringer’s room at 3:00-4:00.
  • Gruening is hosting it’s first dance at CHS! We are very excited that we can have this happen. The dance is this Friday. Right after school from 3:00- 4:30. Same rules apply. $5 Gets you in and two game/food tickets. Hope to see you there!
  • There is a book club starting up in the library during lunch. For more information see Mrs. Johnson.
