  • Right now you can vote for your 2019 WACKO Royalty!  Log onto your ASD Google Drive account and go here to vote.  Voting closes Thursday at 2 pm, and winners will be announced on Friday.
  • Spirit week is right around the corner!  Monday, February 25 is Dress to UN-Impress Day; Tuesday, February 26 is Patriotic Day; Wednesday, February 27 is the long awaited Meme Day; Thursday, February 28 is Animated Movies Day; and Friday, March 1 is Class Color Day!  We hope to see everyone decked out in their spirit gear in preparation for this year’s WACKO!
  • Do you want to participate in a WACKO event this year?  This year’s WACKO event signups will be handled by your class officers!  Spots will be filled soon, so sign up quickly!
  • Softball Tryouts are February 27th, March 1st and March 2nd. Please see the flyer here for full details.
  • If you are going to be joining track/field/softball/baseball or soccer you must get your forms completed online and payments made. Then see Mrs. Huffer for your golden ticket before February 27th. See Mrs. Huffer if you have any questions.
  • An after-school high school construction class is going to be offered again this spring for a 1/2 elective science credit or an elective credit. The class is open to 9-12 grade students interested in taking the class and working on a large scale construction project or those interested in a class for credit. It is a class open to both Eagle River and Chugiak High School students. 8 spots are open for CHS students. The class is from April 3 to May 17 and goes from 3-5:30 pm in room 502. If interested please stop by your counselor to sign up or if you have questions stop by room 502 and talk to Mr. Martin (the applied tech teacher from Gruening).

  • The CHS Testing Center is open!! The Testing Center allows you a consistent time and dependable location to make-up quizzes and tests you have missed due to absences.  Whether you need only 20 minutes to make up a short quiz, or you want to knock-out multiple tests from different teachers at the same time – the Testing Center is the route for you!  Every Tuesday and Thursday, from 6:30 – 7:30 AM, in Mrs. Portie’s Room 178, in House 3. Students, please be sure to bring a photo ID with you to the Testing Center to verify identification.
  • If you are going out for a sport/activity you MUST get a “gold” ticket from Mrs. Huffer for each sport/activity. If you have any questions please go see Mrs. Huffer.

  • Today we honor Elizabeth  Peratrovich, Tlingit leader and civil rights activist who is credited with advocacy that gained the passage of the first anti-discrimination law in the United States.
  • TEA for Seas is today at lunch! The new location for the Tea Party is Mrs. Ditzler’s room, 101. We will be selling tickets at the door – they are $5. All proceeds benefit the 4ocean organization, dedicated to ocean cleanup. If you already purchased a ticket in November, you do not need to purchase another. Come join us!
