 Do you have school spirit? Put that spirit into action and join Basketball Cheer! We will be cheering for the Girls and Boys teams and we need to get our cheer squad together ASAP!  Today at lunch come make some snowflakes in room 12! Improv is providing incentive, Mrs. Templeton needs the assistants. Come see if we found a snowflake that inspires you.

 The Chugiak High School Orchestra invites students and staff to attend the Chugiak’s “Concert and Symphonic Orchestras” Concert that will feature Memorable Melodies to Dance To! Music ranges from The Christmas Song and Greensleeves to Lord of the Dance Celtic Music! The concert is free to the public and begins at 7:00 pm on December 7th in the Chugiak Auditorium. There will also be cookies and bars for sale at the concert! We invite you to attend!

 Bookmark design contest! Artists, come to the Library for details on topic and rules for the Annual Bookmark Design Contest. Four winners will be published by the school district! Entries due December 8.

 Alaska Native/American Indian High School Juniors, Seniors, and Parents are invited to a College PREP EVENT at the ASD Education Center Saturday, December 9, 2017 from 11:00 am to 4:00pm. Included will be discussions with current college students, a parent discussion group, Native Corporation/Tribal Scholarships, FAFSA information, Scholarship Essay writing workshop and information about the TRIO Programs. This is being sponsored by the Title VI Indian Education Program.

Improv is hosting a non-traditional snowflake making session with cookies at lunch on Monday in room 12 to celebrate our show and help decorate for the season.  Congratulations to the following students: Charlie Latimer and Claire Mahoney for their “involvement” and “honor of being selected” to perform with the NEME National Orchestra that rehearsed 2 full days and then performed a concert on Wednesday morning in Orlando, Florida.! Way to go Charlie and Claire– in representing Chugiak High School Music!

If you answered “yes” to these questions, the Alaska Railroad Tour Guide Training Program wants to learn more about you! Attend the open house at the Alaska Railroad Depot tonight at 7 p.m. at The Alaska Railroad Depot, 411 West 1st Avenue. Pick up an application there, or stop by King Career Center, or email woods_mike@asdk12.org to have one emailed to you. Applications are due by 4 p.m. January 12, 2018.
